The initial first visit is important for both the client and the hypnotist. This collaborative time is vital to the success of the program.
- The hypnotist and client get to know each other during the first session.
- Personal expectations are defined.
- The hypnotist will want to know in detail what the client wants to accomplish.
- All questions are asked and answered.
- Specific goals are clearly identified.
- Level of commitment to accomplish desired goals is identified and recorded.
- Hypnotic approaches are thoroughly explored together then mutually agreed upon.
- An activity or activities may be used to demonstrate how the mind and the body work together.
- The hypnotist will provide detailed explanation and instructions before hypnosis begins, and will request your authorization to continue.
- This first session is usually longer than proceeding sessions.
